Crimson Rosella perched among lime leaves and white flowers in Yarra Ranges National Park — wildlife photography by Istvan Maar

Red, blue, lime and white

Yesterday I had the incredible privilege of witnessing vibrant Crimson Rosellas enjoying their breakfast in Yarra Ranges National Park. Let me tell you, it was a breath-taking sight to behold!
I visited the national park for taking photos of the sunrise. Don't worry, there will be a post later about the sunrise, but I wanted to share these funny couple with you. I already finished the early morning session and drove back home, but I stopped in a bakery, which I really loved - fresh bagette, croissants and country sourdough. That bread remembered me for the bread of my childhood... C'mon, let's focus on the story!
The sky was blue, the tree was full of fresh, lime coloured leaves and white flowers. The tree itself was worth for a photo, and I noticed these beautiful Australian parrots, and graced my day with their presence. Their brilliant crimson and deep blue plumage shimmered like precious gems amidst the lush greenery. The harmony of their chirps and calls filled the air, creating a symphony of nature's finest melodies.
Watching them feast on a breakfast of fresh flowers was a reminder of the simple joys that nature offers us every day. Let's take a moment to appreciate the beauty of our world, the creatures that inhabit it, and the small wonders that surround us!
