Are calendars good gifts?
Definitely. When people choose a wall calendar as a gift, they usually think less about the calendar itself and more about the recipient's interests, personality, and lifestyle, it is always a great gift. Hobbies, special interests, funny topics. Practical or decorative?

What type of photography is featured in your calendars?
All photographs featured in our calendars are taken by Istvan Maar. The collections showcase a diverse range of original photography, including Australian landscapes, wildlife, travel scenes, and artistic compositions captured over many years.

What paper quality do you use?
Our calendars are printed on high-quality premium paper selected to ensure excellent image clarity, vibrant colour reproduction, and a professional finish.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, Istvan Maar Photography delivers internationally. The products are printed close to the delivery address.

Can I send a calendar directly to someone as a gift?
Yes, you can. Simply enter the recipient's delivery address at checkout, and we will ship the calendar directly to them. No pricing information is included in the package, making it ideal for gifting.

What sizes are your canvases available in?
Most of our canvases come in three sizes: 40x60 cm (16x24″), 50x75 cm (20x30″) and 60x90 cm (24x36″). Our Australian animal nursery canvases come in 40x60 cm and 50x75 cm, and vertical panoramas such as the Aurora and Milky Way canvases come in longer 40x80 cm and 50x100 cm formats. The available sizes are always shown on each product page.

How do I choose the right canvas size for my wall?
As a rule of thumb, choose a canvas about two-thirds the width of the furniture it hangs above, such as a sofa, bed or sideboard. 40x60 cm suits a hallway, study or smaller wall, 50x75 cm works well above a desk or side table, and 60x90 cm makes a statement piece above a sofa or bed. To test a size, cut a piece of paper or cardboard to the same dimensions and tape it to the wall for a day.

Are the canvases ready to hang?
Yes. Each canvas is stretched over a solid wood frame about 4 cm deep, and hanging hardware is included. The exact hanging kit may vary slightly depending on the country your canvas is printed in.

What is the canvas made of?
The print is on premium coated canvas, a cotton and polyester blend of roughly 300–350 gsm. The frame is made from responsibly sourced wood, mainly FSC-certified.

Do I need a frame for the canvas?
No. The canvas wraps around a wooden frame, so it's ready to display as it is.

Can I personalise a canvas?
Yes, selected Melbourne and Budapest canvases can be personalised. Where personalisation is available, you can review it on screen before you place your order.

How is my canvas made and shipped?
Every canvas is printed on demand when you order, so there is no pre-made stock. It is produced at a facility close to the delivery address and shipped directly to you or your gift recipient. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.

Can I send a canvas directly as a gift?
Yes. Enter the recipient's address at checkout and the canvas ships straight to them.

What if my canvas arrives damaged?
Please take photos of the damage and contact us at istvanmaar.photography@gmail.com within 14 days of the expected delivery date, and we'll make it right.
