A lucky night with Aurora

The nights are not as cold as were couple of weeks ago. The forecast predicted a great night for astrophotography – nearly no clouds on the sky, no wind, even the Moon will not flash the dark sky! Oh, nearly forgot, the forecast was 10 Celsius degrees for the night. Oh, nearly forgot, and a high chance for a strong Aurora Australis on the Southern coast. You can’t even dream more optimal combination. So, where would I go? Let’s try my favourite place, Cape Schanck with the lighthouse!
Before I arrive to Cape Schanck I visited another coast, which is only couple of minutes from the lighthouse which is Flinders Blowhole. There were no one there, awesome! I have to tell you; I am not sure why, but I like the dark coastlines. Just me, and the hopefully not totally dark sky. I had to realise; Aurora was not perfectly ready for the dance, no worries, the Milky Way was beautiful!
