The Yallock-Bulluk Marine and Coastal Park combine existing parks and reserves along 40kms of coast in Victoria from San Remo to Inverloch on Bunurong Country.
I am a member of a Melbourne based FB photo group, which organizes photography sessions where the members visit interesting and beautiful places. Everyone creates their own photos, and we share our photos with the group to ‘review’ that. There are more hundred members and depends on the time of the day and the distance from the city more or less members join to each session. Today we visited Shack Bay, which is 90 minute’s drive from my home, meeting time 5:45 AM, as the plan was to take a sunrise photo on the beautiful Shack Bay. Yes, you are right, let’s calculate back. Leave the house at 4:00 AM, wake up time 3:40AM. Am I (are we) crazy?
The tide was low, the temperature 2C, luckily no winds.
As I joined some sunrise sessions in the past, I was sure that there won’t be too big group today, but some core members always join, regardless the weather conditions, and I was right.
After we met on the car park we walked to the coast via the steps in the dusk. Everyone found their spot (we had to be careful where we step as every rock been wet, even some pots remained after the tide. And the Sun just risen smoothly. There were no clouds (some lower one would be appreciated, maybe next time) and it was stunning.
I spent some time again to create shots what I can merge to a panorama, which been uploaded to the Panorama photos gallery. To be honest, I really enjoying creating of panorama photos. There are challenges in creating that, definitely if the ‘light conditions’ give that. But I really enjoy this type of art. Which photo is your favourite?
